DESCRIPTION:Organized by Pietro Sorvino (ANS Diving Ischia).\nThis 2.5-hour
guided snorkeling tour explores some of the most fascinating underwater s
ites of Ischia: the beautiful Grotta Verde\, the Grotta del Mago\, the arc
haeological area of the Scoglio del Ninfeo in Cartaromana\, and the submer
ged walls of Aenaria\, in the waters in front of the Aragonese Castle. In
very shallow waters (less than one meter deep)\, participants can observe
natural gas emissions emerging from the seabed.\nThe excursion departs fro
m the premises of ANS Diving Ischia in Ischia Ponte\, with all sites reach
able by boat in just a few minutes.\nParticipation fee: €40.00 — “Festival

DESCRIPTION:The effects of carbon dioxide on marine ecosystems\nThe provoca
tive title reflects one of the most insidious challenges of the Anthropoce
ne: the dual nature of human impact on the oceans.\nThe ocean acts as a gi
gantic thermal regulator\, having absorbed over 90% of the excess heat tra
pped by the greenhouse effect over the past century. This leads to rising
average surface temperatures and increasingly frequent and intense marine
heatwaves. At the same time\, the ocean functions as a “carbon sponge\,” a
bsorbing about 25–30% of human CO₂ emissions.\nDuring this talk\, we will
explore how this “double hit” is damaging marine biodiversity. Mediterrane
an and oceanic case studies will be analyzed to understand whether the phy
siological plasticity of local species will be sufficient to ensure ecosys
tem resilience\, or whether we are moving toward an unprecedented biologic
 al simplification in Earth’s history.\nSpeaker:\nValerio ZupoPhD\, researc

DESCRIPTION:Through the language of cinema\, crucial themes such as energy\
 , climate change\, urbanization\, and biodiversity loss become stories\, v
isions\, and metaphors that speak directly to younger generations.\nIn the
Mediterranean context in particular—one of the regions most exposed to th
e effects of the climate crisis—cinema can become a space for dialogue bet
ween cultures\, sensitivities\, and perspectives. It can actively engage y
oung people as protagonists of new ecological imaginaries.\nSpeaker:\nAlfo

DESCRIPTION:Anthropocene is the completion\, following Manufactured Landsca
pes and Watermark\, of a trilogy of documentaries about the impact of huma
n activity on our planet.\nIt is a journey across six continents\, narrate
d by the voice of Alicia Vikander\, showing the different ways in which hu
manity is exploiting Earth’s resources and reshaping the planet as never b
efore.\nThe documentary presents 43 of the world’s most severe environment
al disasters\, including one in Italy: the devastation of the Apuan Alps\,
caused by intensive marble extraction\, now largely used to produce calci
 um carbonate.\n(Canada\, 2018\, 87’) https://www.eventi.ischia.it/en/calen

DESCRIPTION:Works by Rita D’Ambra\nThe exhibition presents a series of port
raits\, created in oil or acrylic on wood\, dedicated to some of the most
iconic figures in the global jazz scene. It is not a simple aesthetic cele
bration\, but a deep dialogue between the arts: each brushstroke is guided
by the music of the portrayed musicians\, whose notes become a constant s
ource of inspiration throughout the creative process. https://www.eventi.i
